Sermon Soundtrack Vol. 2

Last week's soundtrack included some mood/seasonal musical selections like November Rain by Guns 'N Roses. In addition to some vintage GNR I listened to more samplings of Coldplay's newest release which I mentioned in last week's post. Vigilantes of Love, Jason Isbell, and some preliminary Christmas songs. Hope your finding glimpses of God's truth, beauty, and goodness in your routine this week.  P.S. It's never to early to listen to Christmas music. Christmas celebrates the incarnation of Jesus, the Messiah. The greatest event in human history! Without the incarnation at Christmas, we never make it to the beauty of the empty tomb on Easter morning!

Sermon Soundtrack Volume 1

One of the things I like to hear from other people is what kind of music they are listening to at the moment. Though musical styles and preferences change for many people, I find myself being drawn to the same artists and types of artists. When I do discover a new artist, I tend to plumb the depths of their catalogue of music.  My goal with this new blog is to offer a space for me to share some thoughts about life and faith. Some posts will be serious and others like this one, I hope will be general information. I'm going to try to share the music I listened to while doing sermon preparation each week. Expect some overlap at times. Who knows, maybe you will discover or rediscover some music you really like.  Below are the artists I listened to, if it was a specific album I'll post that as well.  Johnny Swim Penny and Sparrow, Alabama Haint Coldplay, Music of the Spheres Need to Breathe Mac Powell, New Creation If you like Third Day, you'll enjoy Mac Powell's latest.
